Secure DNS server that blocks ads and trackers – Native.cat DNS

What is DNS?

DNS – The internet’s phone book

To access a typical website – for example, google.com – we need to know the IP address. However, IP addresses consist of numbers, making them difficult to memorize. Therefore, we need something like a phone book that converts domains to IPs, and this is what a DNS server is.

Problems with typical DNS servers – Not encrypted

The problem with typical DNS servers is that they communicate in plain text without encryption. This means that anyone on the network can see which websites you are visiting. This creates privacy issues.

DNS over HTTPS – Encrypted DNS

Native.cat DNS provides only one DNS protocol. It’s DNS over HTTPS. This DNS protocol is easy to apply to most web browsers and maintains secure communication through HTTPS encryption.
